Each and every time there id no channels.cond file, the application does crash and segfault.

I cannot confirm this. What version are you using? 0.3.2? I deleted my ~/.me-tv directory and when I started Me TV it created the directory, showed me a error message dialog saying there was no channels.conf and created a ~/.me-tv directory with a video.fifo and log file with the error message. No segfault.

I restarted the application and got the same error message dialog. Are you getting this message?

I renamed the channels.conf file, and that is what I got :

1/9/2007 17:28:49 - VERSION: 0.3.1
1/9/2007 17:28:49 - Exception in Application::Application(int, char**): There's no channel file at /home/benoit/.me-tv/channels.conf
1/9/2007 17:28:53 - Terminating application
Erreur de segmentation (core dumped)

"Core Dump" does not seem to me to be a real good way of quitting an application, does it?

Ok, yes I have seen this happen on my computer at work, but not at home. I haven't looked into it because I thought that it was an issue with my work installation.
