KDE with nVidia crashes at load if running Compiz

Bug Description

Am unable to run KDE with Compiz on system with binary nVidia driver and Gutsy Gibbon.

On advice of Sitsofe Wheeler, I uninstalled xserver-xgl and restarted X server. That session worked fine but hung when I tried to logout. After reboot, all future attempts to start a KDE session led to a hard hang, requiring a reboot.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
