Thank you for taking the time to report a bug and sorry for the long delay in replying.

Based on the output from DpkgTerminalLog.txt:

 * Starting backuppc... Use of qw(...) as parentheses is deprecated at /usr/share/backuppc/lib/BackupPC/Storage/Text.pm line 302.
Use of qw(...) as parentheses is deprecated at /usr/share/backuppc/lib/BackupPC/Lib.pm line 1425.
2015-02-11 08:19:26 Can't create a test hardlink between a file in /var/lib/backuppc/pc and /var/lib/backuppc/cpool. Either these are different file systems, or this file system doesn't support hardlinks, or these directories don't exist, or there is a permissions problem, or the file system is out of inodes or full. Use df, df -i, and ls -ld to check each of these possibilities. Quitting...

The error message offers a few suggestions as to why the problem happened. On top of that, the screenshot attached shows a different error which seems unrelated to backuppc.

This doesn't seem like a bug, but rather a local configuration issue. I'm closing this as Invalid, but feel free to reopen if you still think this is a problem. Thank you.

Changed in backuppc (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
