Bug Description

Clicking on "Add new Calendar" in the Calendar-App (Ubuntu Core App Developers) brings you to the system settings.
I don't know why?
I don't know how to add a new calendar in the system settings?

Adding a new Calendar should be done in the Calendar-App.

[UX Comment]

This appears to be working as specified by my predecessor:

1. User Selects 'Calendars'
2. User selects 'Add New Calendar'
3. User is taken to Accounts (in System Settings)
4. User may select an existing account to use calendar from (e.g. google) or add a new account.

Please file bugs on the calendar against the calendar app itself, not your own project.

Hey Alan,

thanks for your advice.
Unfortunately I'm just a "Ubuntu User" and not an "Expert".
I was trying to find a place where I could place my concerns but I did not succeed :-(
Launchpad was to confusing for me.
Could you give me further aid on how to find the right place to report bugs in ubuntu touch?

Sadly I am not an software expert but i am trying to contribute to the Ubuntu Touch Project by looking for bugs.

Thanks

I sent you an email directly, but you didn't reply. So I'll leave the reply here:-

I would recommend you do the following:-

* Refrain from pasting rambling text in unrelated bugs such as you did here:- https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-calendar-app/+bug/1199774/comments/10 - it's completely unhelpful as the developers who need to see issues cannot.
* Identify specific bugs and find / file them in the right place (see Avenger link below)
* Remove "Ubuntu Phone (bq) from each bug listed at:- https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuphone/+bugs?orderby=-id&start=0
* Delete the project http://launchpad.net/ubuntuphone as it causes confusion for others filing bugs.

In future check this page which lists where each individual bug goes:-

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Avengers

I am happy to help you identify bugs and file them in the right place. My email address is <email address hidden>.

Having designed the Online Accounts settings, I can state that "my predecessor" (whoever that was) was mistaken: no app should ever dump you there. Instead it should use the Online Accounts API to request access to the kind of account it wants.

This is indeed what the Calendar app does (modulo bug 1479747), so this bug is fixed.
