GDM freeze when I open the "log out" applet

Bug Description

Even if gdm is freezing, I can do a "ctrl+alt+fx" to go in console, or a "ctrl+alt+backspace" to go to the login page.

This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem. Which video card and version of Ubuntu do you have? Also please tell us a few steps for trigger the bug. thanks.
