Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Ubuntu installer can't create large (about 200-250 GB) ReiserFS partition. It displays strange error message like "cannot have the end before the start". HDD can be clean, or with existing partitions - that doesn't matter.

Gparted and other partitioning tools work perfectly.

Triaged to Confirmed as reporter demonstrated two cases where large Reiser partitions failed. Need to verify with Hardy Alpha.

I've just removed ReiserFS support from the Ubuntu installer; see https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel/2013-September/037659.html for the rationale. I'm afraid that if this bug hasn't been fixed along the way then it now isn't going to be.
