grub not install menu entry for windows xp

Bug Description

Kubuntu 7.10 (beta) by media alternate install :

In same moment by installation, in partition method in choose to not mount /dev/sda1 (ntfs w/ windows xp).
But after complete install and reboot, does not have menu entry for windows xp in grub menu, there is not grub menu, only 3...2...1 and kubuntu loading.

Its not happen in livecd.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

I am Having the same issues my windows partition does not get mounted, there is no windows entry in grub.

Motherboard: intel 946gzh
Hard Disk: Western Digital WD400
OS: Ubuntu 7.10 beta
Processor: Pentium D 3.0 Ghz
Ram: 1 Gb

I had a copy of menu.lst. So i corrected it after update.

I'm closing this bug as this report is about a beta version of Kubuntu and it's not supported anymore. Please reopen if you can reproduce this bug with Hardy.
