Visual Effects show 'Normal' but they are not enabled

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Using gutsy beta and a nvidia card, the Visual Effects tab show effects to be Normal.

However, there are no effects (driver 'nv' is being used).

Visual Effects should show 'None'.

Clean install was done using the alternate CD.
