Applications->Quit offers me a choice of options to leave the environment, such as log out, switch users, restart, poweroff etc. Is this not available on yours?

There are extra menu.xml.LOCALE files currently shipped in
mythbuntu-default-settings. Looks like we'll just need to blow those away?

In theory this should be fixed by the new version of m-d-s. There may be an issue now however with unlocalized translations of the menu. If so, please report it in another bug.
