changing ip needs restart

Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

This has happend to me and my frient on two different networks and on two different laptops:after you change the ip you have to restart the system in order for the ip to change.

double click on network manager -> wired network ->static ip -> close ............->restart :)

i don't have a static ip entry there.

Type "sudo ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.1"

eth0 is your network device. If you want to change your WiFI ip sometimes it's eth1

Try this and report back if you still need to restart your system. :)
