Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

After installing the newest updates today, opening the Screensaver window crashes X.

Ubuntu Gusty Beta (all updates installed)
Compiz Fusion with XGL
Intel Pentium D (running x86)
ATI Radeon X850 Platinum Edition

So you have fglrx & xserver-xgl? Works here with ati without xgl, reassigning to xserver-xgl.

I am having the same problem, but I don't know what information you need from me. I've got an nvidia go 6100, the latest debian kernel, compiz isn't installed, I don't know what xgl is but I don't think I have it installed.

found more info on the web, read other instances of people with the same problem after a kernel update. Reinstalling the nvidia driver fixes the problem.

xserver-xgl has been deprecated upstream, and removed from Intrepid. Closing the bug as won't fix.
