Bug Description

Hi,

For use compiz fusion, I must enable Restricted nvidia's drivers. It's works perfectly. but if I connect a new screen! "the samsung 226BW"; after reboot, the X server crash. I have a blue screen. I must do "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" .

But with free drivers compiz-fusion doesn't work.

The card is a nvidia 7300 for Notebook with 512Mb.

Which Ubuntu version are you using?
Please attach your X server configuration file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) and X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.0.log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the "Attachment:" box below. Could you please also try to run without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf and let Xorg autodetect your display and video card? Please also attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log from this attempt. Thanks in advance.

hi,

I can't answer to this question! This problem was on my brother's notebook,
and he changed the release of Ubuntu. I think it was Feisty. Next week, I
can test again. If the problem is still here, I will post new information,
as the x11 log.
