Bug Description
Binary package hint: ffmpeg
It would be really nice if ffmpeg were compiled with h.264 support and all the nifty codecs. Tried to compile it and it's a nightmare to find the libs/versions needed.

h.264 is in ffmpeg in ubuntu hardy.
