Bug Description

I recently tried installing the Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 beta release. I was able to boot from the cd and get to the first menu, after which I selected "Start or Install Ubuntu." The orange bar loaded as expected (although the graphics are misaligned), but when I got to the graphical login screens, my monitor suddenly went blank with the message:

INPUT TYPE NOT SUPPORTED

I am assuming that this is some kind of monitor refresh rate that is not working.

I rebooted and selected the safe graphics mode, after which I was able to completely load Ubuntu with good resolution. I just think that the main mode should be fixed so that people who don't know about safe graphics will know what to do. Also, I am worried that when I go to install Ubuntu onto my hard disk, I will not be able to get to the login screen.

I am using an ACER AL1916 Monitor, and my graphics are run from the integrated chip on my Intel 965 motherboard.

Just a quick question, since you are using the same monitor as me (ACER AL1916) and experiencing the same problem (INPUT TYPE NOT SUPPORTED). I installed Ubuntu in text mode using wubi and cannot access my installation because of this error. Have you found a fix that works?

Kind regards,

Joshua

Do you still have this problem with the final release?
