Bug Description

Binary package hint: wireshark

I am currently doing 24/7 monitoring on our network at the office, the monitoring is running on an Ubuntu 6.06 system with tethereal and saving the files for me to process.

the files are 100MB in size and they open fine on Feisty + Wireshark. after upgrading to Gutsy and the new Wireshark it gets to around 30% opening the file then crashes. In the terminal I get :

$ wireshark
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I'd attach the dump file, but i don't know where it is. if someone could let me know I'll post it.

any help on what is causing this or a fix for it would be great, because without Wireshark I can't do alot of my work.

Jason.

I can open that capture file just fine on Ubuntu Hardy, wireshark 1.0.0-1. Could you please try opening it with the latest wireshark as well? Thanks in advance.
