Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

Please update Intel wireless driver iwlwifi (iwl4965) to 1.1.18 from 1.1.10. The current driver breaks wireless connectivity.

Previously asked for 1.1.17, but 1.1.18 has since been released with additional 4965 fixes and is a better candidate for the fix.

1.1.19 has further 4965 fixes, I have attached it.

1.1.20 Has even 4965-related fixes. I have attached it again.

1.1.21 Has more fixes for the 4965 AND 3945 connection issues. I have attached it on November 5th.

1.2.0 has even more fixes.

I found that 1.1.18 was way better than 1.1.0 but it spewed lots of crap in syslog like:

Oct 24 03:54:47 localhost kernel: [23144.152000] iwl4965: Can not find a suitable rate

1.1.19 does not have this problem, could we update to that one.

This is on a Lenovo T61 with an iwl4965 card using both WEP and WPA

It's looks like 1.1.21 is a code-cleanup as opposed to a bugfix. Might I suggest releasing 1.1.20 soon, and waiting for any kinks in 1.1.21 to get ironed out?

I'd say keep it as recent as possible, these drivers are quite new and a lot of work is being done on them, especially on the 4965 side.

Hi.
I am using the version 1.1.0 but i try to install the 1.1.17 version on the gutsy beta but now i have the newest version of gutsy and the update is not possible. I have some errors becouse the "make" need some files from kernel. I am not so skilled user so i would be happy when you can upgrade the package that is on gutsy database.

looks to me that this has fallen out of the git tree. Can anyone confirm?

1.2.0 is available now.

As I understand it, the deadline for updating linux-ubuntu-modules is the new year. It doesn't look like there will be a fix soon.

Also, it does look like it's gone from the git tree. Anybody know why?
