Bug Description
With Gutsy, sound does not work on my Sony Vaio VGN-TZ190N laptop, unless I add to /etc/modprobe.
options snd-hda-intel model=auto
I first read this in http://
Adding this option is annoying, as it means that sound doesn't work on the laptop with a standard gutsy install, and that when there are changes to alsa-base, I need to manually update the file.

What's the output from "lspci -nv|grep -A1 0403"?
