Bug Description

I'm running Gutsy 20071015 on a Toshiba Satellite U300. The problem is that when I boot into the graphical interface, the gnome panel is too short compared to the width of the display. However, other applications can be moved beyond the limit of the gnome panel. Also, a screenshot can be taken of the entire screen showing clearly how the gnome panel is too short.

Is there a TV out port on this laptop?

Kyle, there is no TV out port on this laptop. Also, that xrandr command fixed the gnome panel.

Will this be fixed to work by default or should this command be added in one of the rc scripts?

Kyle, after adding your ppa to my sources.list and running dist-upgrade, your Intel xorg driver was installed. After rebooting, the gnome panel problem was solved. Thanks!
