Bug Description
Hello,
The bug I have concerns the volumecontroll of my USB soundcards. I have:
(pci)
00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 60)
(usb)
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 0471:0101 Philips DSS350 Digital Speaker System
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adapter
The pcicard behaves like it should, but if I change the volume of the PCM Controller from one of the others the left controller mostly jumps to 0. If i pull it up it allways jumps between the positions of Mouse and 0. This bug i have since Ubuntu 7.10 (tried from Beta Release till updated RC) but not on 7.04. This is not a Gnome bug i think because it also affects the command line alsamixer.
I'm experiencing just the same problems while using Logitech V20 USB speakers.
lsusb gives the following line:
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 046d:0a04 Logitech, Inc.
Please tell me what information I can provide to help locating the bug, since I'm not familiar with this process. Thank you.
