Bug Description
Binary package hint: adept
I think I sucessfully upgraded to kubuntu 7.10 a few days ago.
When I now try to "get updates" in adept, I see the "versionupgrade".
When I enter it, it fails after I press ok for the packages not anymore supported.
It says no need to upgrade(or somthing), and it cancels and change back.
I tried to remove the "pre-released packages", but it still will upgrade.
This might have to do with me trying to have installed kde4, or that I see "gutsy release" in the sources list.

I am rinning 32bit Kubuntu 7.10 RC1 and I have a similar problem. If I check for updates and click on the "Version Upgrade" button in Adept the upgrade starts and I am told that there some unsupported packeges. After that it tells me that there is no upgrade available and reverts all the cnahges made.
I've attached a few screenshot of what happens.
I think this is somewhat similar to https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ update- manager/ +bug/151943/
