Software-properties-kde required to upgrade via adept

Possible bug #125644

Have you installed the package software-properties-kde?

I have been upgraded via command line to 7.10, so I can't say

But apt log says that it was not

But software properties is only useful to show software sources dialog and it is not related with the dist-upgrade. If you have other problem with upgrade, please post your apt.log.

I was trying to use the official upgrade guide http://kubuntu.org/announcements/7.10-release.php#upgrade, but I failed. So my friend was. According to the guide I MUST check that checkboxes, but I can't.

Jonathan Riddell suspects that this guide will work to all of us without any additional pakages (like software-properties-kde). But it does not. So I think it's a bug.

Really, documentation isn't clear about the need of additional packages. But http://www.kubuntu.org/~jriddell/kubuntu-upgrade contains a note that specifies this. I think this should be fixed, editing the documentation about upgrade.

Page http://kubuntu.org/announcements/7.10-release.php needs to be fixed, including that software-properties-kde is needed to perform upgrade through Adept (without manual edit of sources.list)

This dates from the old website, setting it to Invalid since it no longer applies.
