I'm trying to get into MOTUs and this is my first whack at this. I went and got the source for slocate, fixed it, dch'd, then built the source package with dpkg-buildpackage -S -sd -rfakeroot I read about debdiff and then I generated this patch using the following command
$ debdiff slocate_ 3.1-1.1ubuntu3. dsc slocate_ 3.1-1.1ubuntu4. dsc > slocate-3.1.patch
