Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
I upgraded from Kubuntu Feisty to Gutsy. The upgrade is done ok. Since then when I update in Adept, a version upgrade button appears. (I have all the possible repos activated)
Hitting the version upgrade button in Adept the dist-upgrade dialog appears to help me upgrade to Gutsy. I tried to run this upgrade tool once again in order to make it disappear for the next time but at a certain point (at modifying repos) the dialog says there are no updates for my system and upgrading will be interrupted and the dialog restores my system settings.
I don't understand where to modify the system descriptions in order to make Adept see which version I'm using. I guess this is a bug because the system should have changed this description infos after upgrading, as now it displays incorrect informations about a possible version upgrade.
Same thing on a fresh install.
After fully installing and configuring my Gutsy, the "version upgrade" button gets lit after fetching updates in adept manager. Then, the update-manager will fail with same error message as above.
This happens also on my second computer, after an upgrade from Feisty.
