Bug Description

Firefox, Opera, apt, etc take a long time to access to the network.
An example : When the connection is established with a webpage in firefox, the speed is normal. But each time I want to access to another website, there is a delay of 20 to 30 seconds just to begin the display of the webpage.

I resolve this issue by turning off the ipv6 flag in /etc/modprobe.d/aliases

Maybe the problem is due to my router (the standard router from swisscom, the main telephone company in switzerland), but maybe it's possible to deactivate automatically ipv4 when this kind of problem happens.

EDIT : Replace IPV4 by IPV6 in the previous text.

I just want to precise that this problem appears with Gutsy, I never deactivate the ipv6 before, however the hardware was the same.

This has been a known problem and should be fixed all aboard now if you have all the updates.
