Firefox does not work in Kubuntu 7.10

Bug Description

I upgraded my Kubuntu Feisty to Gutsy online. Everything went on smooth.
Now When I try to open ANY site with Firefox it shows "Connecting to <sitename>..." for a long time and then page appears "Unable to connect".
I can browse Internet with Konqueror or Swiftweasel. All the other applications like Konversation and Adept works just fine.
Firefox used to work in Feisty.

I am having AMD64 installation of Kubuntu ad have also installed flash plugin for swiftweasel.

please install the ubufox package, restart firefox and then resubmit this bug report using the firefox menu entry Help -> Report a Problem ...

Reporting through that menu entry provides us with valuable information that helps us to track down your problem in a more efficient manner.

Hi,

I am fairly new to Ubuntu. Please do not mind my newbie questions.

When I run Adept installer and search for "ubufox", it appears to be grayed
and I cannot select it.
Please let me know how to enable it.
