Bug Description

Binary package hint: system-config-printer

It would increase the "Just Works" feeling if I could have found the printer we share on our home network without having to fiddle with settings.

These setting come from CUPS and not from system-config-printer. system-config-printer is only a tool to display and change them.

Moving to cupsys ...

Changed in system-config-printer:
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Triaged

After a quick discussion about this with Pitti, he expressed his general support for such a thing, but that specifically he would like to see bug #314408 fixed first, thus bringing compliance with https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DefaultNetworkServices
