When expanding Terminal output view on Ubuntu (Unity) design issue appears on bottom

Bug Description

I have recently found that in the Ubuntu (Unity) 16.04 installer (not with other flavours though - and it works fine with previous versions) upon expanding the Terminal output view the design at the bottom goes a bit strange:

However after the bar has gone to the end and it enters the sort of stage two where it goes back to the beginning again and starts actually setting up the system the design error starts looking like this (though never looks as it should if the Terminal output view is expanded):

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1573980

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
