Bug Description
Binary package hint: liferea
Since I've got a fair amount of feeds, I like to keep them ordered by topic by creating folders and placing my feeds inside them. That's cool because by selecting a folder you can see all its feeds' entries at a time and keep liferea's window neat and tidy as well.
However, when you browse unread entries (either through ctrl+n or the space bar) and change feeds, the folders expand to show what feed the entry belongs to. That pretty much defeats the purpose of collapsing them, so please could liferea keep folders collapsed if I tell it to?

From upstream:
"I disagree. Wether a folder should uncollapse or not upon selection of a
contained item is a personal preference and not a functional bug. In fact
Liferea always did behave this way so the implementation is still correct.
PS: In the scripting documentation on the homepage there is a LUA script
example which shows how to uncollapse folders upon selection. You could
adapt this to collapse folders on unselection. Maybe this helps the OP's
use case.

Closing as won't fix.
