Bug Description
gtkpod is great in that it enables the ipod to work under gnome. Indeed, with breezy, it can be launched directly by gnome-volume-
Sadly, gtkpod is not a GNOME project and works very differently from other gnome apps. Clicking on entries often turns them into editable text entries, drag and drop sometimes works (the user almost always had to drag to the bottom half of a target to get it to do the right thing), and multiple-select mode are confusing for the casual gnome user that just wants to create playlists and put music onto an ipod.

Agreed, the interface of gtkpod isn't something to be desired. But, most of the functionality from gtkpod is provied through the libgpod library. Rhythmbox is slowly using the features of libgpod, and I believe ipod sync is aimed to be supported soon.
But until then, it would be nice to see the user interface improved. It seems like quite a nightmare right now, that probably won't encourage much help...
