Bug Description

After upgrading to Kubuntu 8.04 alpha kde-guidance-powermanager was stopped working and before the upgrade I worked just fine. I tried reinstalling all the packages and even freshly installing the hardy alpha, but nothing changed.
I have a Dell Latitude D510 laptop.

Starting it form run does not have any effect.
When I try start form the konsole guidance-power-manager I get the following:

I think this may be related to new version of HAL.
Can you attach output of "lshal" command?

This seems fixed for me with latest kernel update. Must have been a kernel issue.
