Ram 512 MB
Nvidia Geforce MX4
Hardy Heron 8.04

THE PROBLEM
The problem occurs when you want to change time and date in the Top panel of Ubuntu Hardy, when i tried to do it the system prompt for a root password, so i enter my root password and tried to change the preferences but it was not possible, because the aplication is block, I tried to press the Unlock button but no changes at all.

How to reproduce my problem.
1) Right-click once on the clock on the kicker panel.
2) Left-click once on "Adjust Date & Time".
3) Enter my root password.
4) Click OK.
5) Adjust Date & Time.

It opens the dialog but it is block so I try clicking in Unlok but it is not available it's all in grey.

How did I manage to change Time and Date
When doing the same but on System - Administration - Time and Date there is no problem i press the Unlock button and everything is fine.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.
We have instructions on debugging some types of problems. http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

That's because the new admin tools should not be called using gksudo

I'm still having this problem - even when running time-admin from the terminal, the Unlock button is disabled.
