Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Hi,

I've got trouble editing documents with many formulas.
This bug has already been filed for OOo 2.3 and fixed in 2.3.1 in the official version,
so I'd like it to become fixed in the ubuntu version soon.

This should be fixed in Ubuntu hardy since it is has openoffice.org 1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3 so I am marking it as Fix Released. If after upgrading you continue to have this issue then feel free to reopen the bug.

I work too much with formulas.
Previously i was having this bug on windows until 2.3.1 was release and it just get fixed.
Now i moved into ubuntu since 3 months or more, and it stills with openoffice 2.3.0

I use Ubuntu 7.10 AMD64, what i have to do, to have it up-to-date without requiring to change the distro.

Openoffice is an important tool on linux, it should get updates instantly.

Already released versions of Ubuntu only get security updates. To get the new version of OpenOffice will require upgrading to Ubuntu 8.04 when it is released next month, it will have OpenOffice 2.4.0.
