Bug Description

Binary package hint: logjam

After reporting bug #176621, I have found that it has already been fixed and was supposed to be in gutsy. Launchpad claims this has already happened: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/logjam/ but the repositories tell a different story: http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/net/logjam

See in the repository:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/l/logjam/
Note that the source package is at logjam_4.5.3-2.dsc, but the binaries are at logjam_4.5.3-1build1_i386.deb

So it can be seen that the source and binary packages are out of sync.

It all built in Hardy. A lot of packages don't build on all architectures, generally due to a bug in the package. Before a couple of months back we didn't have a method to easily track which packages FTBFSed, but we do now. Things will hopefully be better for Hardy.

Changed in logjam:

Also, I don't see how it is a GPL violation. Nobody says you have to distribute binaries if you distribute source, and the old source is still available.

whoops, you're most certainly right (about the GPL bit).

I missed that the old source was still there. My bad.
