nautilus freezes on opening ftp connection

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

I'm trying to open a FTP-connection to the password protected server keg.few.vu.nl, but nautilus locks up. When I try opening the connection on the gnome desktop, I only get the popup "Opening "keg.few.vu.nl" you can stop this operation by clicking Cancel.", and I can wait forever. However, connecting to another FTP-server just works. But when I try to do ftp or telnet in a terminal, I can login, so I don't think it's the fault of the server. Perhaps this bug has something to do with the server being slow responding with "220 keg.few.vu.nl FTP server (Version wu-2.6.2+Sun) ready." and nautilus not expecting this. I am using nautilus version 2.20.0. I am experiencing this since I upgraded my Ubuntu distribution from version 7.04 to 7.10.

I had to do a backtrace in gdb when nautilus was already running, because when I run nautilus in the console, nautilus creates other processes and exits in the console right away, and then I can't backtrace anything.

The backtrace isn't good enough because is missing some symbols, may you install the libglib and libgtk debugging packages and get a new trace if it's still an issue? thanks in advance.

I couldn't recreate the problem at this time, I think an update of another package solved the problem. (still running nautilus 2.20.0)
