Bug Description

Availability
============
Built for all supported architectures. In sync with Debian.

Rationale
=========
gsound is a minimal GNOME library to make working with libcanberra easier.

gnome-control-center 3.31.90 has a new simplified sound panel which now uses gsound. The Ubuntu Desktop Team wants gnome-control-center 3.32 for Ubuntu 19.04.

Other GNOME stuff in main might use gsound in the future but I don't see any definite plans for it.

Security
========
No known security issues

Quality assurance
=================
- Ubuntu Desktop Packages is subscribed.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gsound
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?src=gsound
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gsound/issues

No autopkgtests. No build tests.

Dependencies
============
All dependencies are in main

Standards compliance
====================
4.3.0, debhelper compat 11, simple dh7 style rules

Maintenance
===========
Co-maintained in Debian with the Debian GNOME team

https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/gsound
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gsound

https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GSound

It not being actively developed but is a stable mature library. (It's at least more active than libcanberra.)

Code and packaging looks good. Nothing to worry about. Are we promoting all binaries, or only the lib? (and let the -dev, gir and tools in universe).

One thing to fix though (I'm happy to not block and require a new upload if this is comitted in salsa):
* debian/copyright isn't up to date and correct:
-> Tristan copyright is 2013-2014 and not only 2013.
-> gsound/gsound-attr.h should mention as well 2008 Lennart Poettering

Suggestion for future uploads:
* It would be great to use dh_missing to ensure we don't miss any file.

And that's it for me. ack on the first condition is met!

Unless overridden, the -dev and gir- packages are pulled into main also because of an Extra-Include rule in the "ubuntu" "supported" seed. And I don't see a reason to override here. :)

Nothing depends on gsound-tools so it will stay in universe.

I made both your suggested changes (update debian/copyright and use dh_missing --fail-missing) and uploaded 1.0.2-4 to unstable.
