The gnome-about-me application erases information on reboot.

1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

Ah, I'm sorry for not being specific enough.

1. Specific Steps: (1) I open the gnome-about-me application. (2) I fill in the better majority of the fields (excluding: Contacts -> Instant Messaging -> Jabber, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, Groupwise (I filled in AIM)). (3) I click the "Close" button. (4) I close all open applications and restart the computer. (5) I open the gnome-about-me application.

2. Behavior Expected: After restarting, I would expect the information that I have entered into the gnome-about-me application to still be there.

3. Behavior Encountered: After restarting, the gnome-about-me application does not contain the information that I have entered into it. The fields are blank and not filled-in. It looks the way it did prior to entering my information into it.

Yes, I created another user on my system and it has the same problem.

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. Checked the reported bug in Hardy RC. The bug seems to have been fixed in the latest release of gnome-control-center, as the details entered in the About Me window seems to be intact after a reboot. Closing this bug as fix released, feel free to open this bug if it is reproducible in Hardy.
