Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I use compiz version 1:0.6.2+git20071119-0ubuntu1~gutsy1 with xserver-xorg-video-ati version 1:6.7.195-1ubunty2 (I have an Ati 9200SE)
When I run a fullscreen OpenGL game, like supertuxkart, it sometimes flickers uncontrollable. This seems to stop when I make sure another window is focused, then the one which was focused the last time when I used an openGL-effect or openGL-game
I tried it with audacious (which does not use the gtk windows decorator, nor the compiz-related one), when this is the last focused application, the game flickers extremely. When I the refocus to e.g. firefox the game starts fine. When I rerun the game with firefox still in focus, it runs bad. It is not 100% reproducable, but quite good.

Actually, the title should start with "openGL GAME with compiz"

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the actively developed release. You can find out more about the development release at [WWW] http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/
