Bug Description

Project description:

Ray Session is a GNU/Linux session manager for audio programs as Ardour, Carla,
  QTractor, Non-Timeline, etc...
  .
It uses the same API as Non Session Manager, so programs compatible with NSM
are also compatible with Ray Session. As Non Session Manager, the principle is
to load together audio programs, then be able to save or close all documents
  together.

Ray Session offers a little more:
   - Factory templates for NSM and LASH compatible applications
   - Possibility to save any client as template
   - Save session as template
   - Name files with a prettier way
   - remember if client was started or not
   - Abort session almost anytime
   - Change Main Folder of sessions on GUI
   - Possibility to KILL client if clean exit is too long
   - Open Session Folder button (open default file manager)
  .
You can see documentation on NSM at:
  http://non.tuxfamily.org/wiki/Non%20Session%20Manager
  .
Ray Session is being developed by houston4444, using Python3 and Qt5.

Code at https://code.launchpad.net/raysession

Successfully built for all architectures at https://code.launchpad.net/~eeickmeyer/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/

"lintian --pedantic" returned no errors or warnings on binary or source.

Primary purpose for inclusion is to replace ladish (LADI Session Handler) in Ubuntu Studio, which is a highly outdated and unmaintained project suffering from bitrot.

Package is ready for sponsorship.

This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug reports specification, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Subsequently, I'm setting this bug's status to Wishlist.

In the time we've been waiting, a new version dropped (0.7.2). Repo has been updated.

Sponsoring is on hold. Key critical components are missing from the packaging.

 * debian/watch is missing. This is key to make `uscan` work for downloading upstreams and SHOULD be included in the packaging to be policy compliant.

Marking as "Incomplete" until a debian/watch file is created and made available in the repository of code.

Hello.

After review, I find nothing wrong that hasn't been fixed (watchfile fix was told to me via IRC) that would block sponsoring.

This package has been sponsored and uploaded to eoan-proposed. It now needs Archive Admin review and approval for inclusion, so I am unsubscribing Sponsors from this package at this time.

Package was NACK'd initially due to packaging issues, and I missed a few bits I should have (thank you infinity for pointing it out).

Going through the packaging now.
