Do you have more information: type of mouse, more information regarding the problem... The mouse quits working after a while is too generic (I'm using hardy with mouse and it doesn't stop working e.g.).

If the sound never works you may have to set it up properly (which may not be that easy in some cases)

Hi it´s a Speedlink Snappy mouse SL6141.The mouse just stops working after awhile, for no reason,it requires restarting Kubuntu to restore function of the mouse.I assumed it just would work as in windows or Mac.I did not install any special driver for it.
Thanks Halldor

Does this only happen in Kubuntu?

Moving to xserver-xorg-input-mouse unless you can prove this is a KDE System Settings issue. Thanks.
