Typing break does not always lock keyboard

Bug Description

Occasionally, when the typing break overlays the take a break screen, it is still possible to type into the application that had focus when the break was started. The application window is dimmed out by the take a break screen, but is still fully controllable by the keyboard! This lets you continue to work for the full duration of the "break".

I don't know if it's relevant, but I have enabled postponing of breaks.

This bug is intermittent - I have not yet been able to work out exactly what triggers it.

The bug has just reoccurred - I'm actually adding this comment whilst the Take a break! screen is displayed. ;-)

It turns out that alt-tab works perfectly during the take a break mode, so I can even switch between windows. Alt- triggers the menus as well, so my work is pretty much unimpeded by the typing break. The only thing that doesn't work is the mouse.

As stated before, this bug does not occur every time a break is triggered. It's probably worth mentioning that I have dual-monitors, just in case that affects things.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04?
