Bug Description

Whatever distro I try to boot or install, the screen is distorted, some more than other.

If it can help any, some of the distros tested.
PClinux current and minime and Mandriva current and 2008.1 beta a lot.
Ubuntu some (more before I reduce resolution).
Mepis 7 very little.

it depends a lot on how many applications I have open and what type of application it is.

General
Model Name: 870179G
Description: ThinkCentre A53 Tower

Graphics
Graphic Controller SiS Mirage Integrated Graphics
Video Card 16777216
Video Card Interface AGP 8X
Video RAM Type DDR

Being a computer from lenovo I would expect everything Linux would run smooth on it.

(BTW, how do I delete a bug? Have an old bug about streamtuner that is fixed a long time ago.)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. I have classified this bug as a bug in xorg.

Sorry for a very late answer.

I got very annoyed by purchase a Lenove (former IBM), and it was a
stationary computer as well, so I gave it away long time ago so that may be
a difficult task.

Heres a picture of the problem. I had to use a camera, when I tried to take screenshoots of the desktop, all pictures turned out to be fine.
