Bug Description

Binary package hint: scribus

This is present in scribus-1.3.3.11.dfsg-1ubuntu1 (Hardy)

The .desktop files for Scribus reference "Icon=scribusicon" while our images in /usr/share/pixmaps are "scribus.*" Looking at upstream their images are named "scribusicon" so it would seem we need to rename our image files.

Or, the .desktop file could be changed to "Icon=scribus.png" (or whatever image file like in the scribus-1.3.3.9.dfsg-1ubuntu1 (Gutsy) package.

Just note that the Icon field in .desktop files should have no patch nor extension (so it should be Icon=scribus, not Icon=scribus.png). If nobody works on this I might fix it soon after Feature Freeze (14/02).

This bug was fixed in the package scribus - 1.3.3.11.dfsg-1ubuntu2

  * Add -DWANT_LIB32:BOOL=1 to debian/rules so install is to /usr/lib
    instead of usr/lib64 on amd64 to fix FTBFS (LP: #188516)

I want to test if icon issue is ok.
I use Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy fully upgrade/updated.
I reinstall and purge Scribus but i don't get icon.

sudo apt-get --reinstall --purge install scribus
Get:1 http://archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main scribus 1.3.3.11.dfsg-1ubuntu4 [9427kB]

Still no icon.

Are you using Ubuntu or Kubuntu. I just installed Scribus to double check and I have an icon.
