In Ubuntu 7.10 (studio version).
The upgrade is stopped after download new packets.

Unfortunately I can't provide the log files as I fixed the problem before I found this bug entry. :)

It seems the dependency cycle stops update-manager from upgrading. After I uninstalled audacious-plugins-extra via Synaptic the upgrade from (xubuntu) 7.10 to 8.04 (beta) progressed. I would guess this is rather a bug in audacious then update-manager? Then again, update-manager should be able to resolve stuff like this itself or provide a solution and not just quit.

Just doing some triage. Does this problem still occur and if so can pctoast provide the log files asked for since I see Christoph deleted his. If no further information is available this bug can be closed.

Sorry for the time passed with no response.

To solve the problem and upgrade to Ubuntu 8.04, i have remove the audacious packet.

Found the solution, downloaded the latest version of Ubuntu Studio with 8.04
included. No need to upgrade. :)

That's not the point. Of course a reinstall works. But an upgrade is
supposed to work as well...
