Bug Description

After an automated security upgrade to kernel 2.6.22-14-rt and 2.6.22-14-generic (I have both installed) the nvidia legacy driver will no longer load and therefore I cannot start X. When this first became apparent I did something with apt-get (I can't remember what exactly) and it told me to run whatever it is you need to do to with dpkg to configure packages that haven't been configured properly. When I did this two initrds were created (i.e. one for each kernel).

Unfortunately I am finding it difficult to get any more information because the output of dpkg -l is truncated and because I am having to file this report from another computer.
