Binary package hint: ferret

Description:
GNU Ferret (Free Entity Relationship and Reverse Engineering Tool) servers to edit data models. These can be implemented whitin a range of relational databases such as Postgresql or Mysql.

Should I use submittodebian to do it, and remove the Ubuntu specific changes from the debdiff (such as the maintainer field change) when it offers me to edit it?

Yes, you can use submittodebian. You will be given the opportunity to edit your patch in order to drop Maintainer change (since Debian does not need it).
