Bug Description

Binary package hint: vmware-player

When trying to start I get:
Could not open /dev/vmmon: No such file or directory.
Please make sure that the kernel module `vmmon' is loaded.

Seems to be due to 2.6.24 kernel

Yes, vmmon doesn't compile properly during installation.

I remember using vmware-any-any to get around this issue.

Download at:

file: vmware-any-any-update*.tar.gz
