Bug Description

I had this problem today for the first time and i think it's due to the last updates.
The desktop environment freezes especially when i'm seeing a video or listening to the music.
Or also when there are many apps opened (like aMule + TrueCrypt, etc...), the pc freezes and the only thing i can do is to reset...
For more info, feel free to ask...
Thanks,
ilh700.

Hi,
sorry for the long time.
I made a memtest on my machine (4> passes) and no problems...
I think the problem is due to GNOME, drivers, or something because aMule can't freeze the system (runs as normal user...) itself.
If i don't mistake this is a bug that came from a previous update of GNOME, so i think the bug is in there.
I readed the documentation but there's nothing that should be do in a system freeze; so if anyone could tell me what to do to...
Thanks.

i found some info for debugging a system freeze, here are some system log files; i grepped the lines with the date of today for each one, because today i had the bug; i hope will be helpful.
For other info just ask.

I still continue to get this bug also with all the latest aMule/gnome updates.
I recognized that only X freezes, because i can use the magic keys; but i don't know exactly what to do to debug/check the problem.
Could anybody PLEASE give an hand on this?
Thanks in advance

Are you still experiencing crashes with an updated system? Can you switch to a virtual terminal with Ctrl + Alt + F1? Please attach lshw output ("lshw > lshw.txt" will produce it) and your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
