[hardy][regression] letters cropped by 1 pixel from the top (gtk2, openoffice, qt3)

After hardy update about 3 weeks ago, I have most letters cropped from the top by +- 1 pixel. Gtk2, qt3, firefox, openoffice are all concerned (athena is OK). Since image speaks thousand words: http://
