Java doesn't start up in Hardy Alpha 4

Bug Description

Binary package hint: sun-java6-jre

From what I can remember the Ubuntu "Gutsy Gibson" 7.10 ran most java based programs fairly well. With this "Hardy" Alpha 4 I can't seem to get any java applications to start up... ex. Limewire, Eclipse, and even... Runescape(was just a test). In KDE based version it seems to try and start, but doesn't succeed. In the GNOME based version it doesn't start at all. That's about all I can figure out about it... Seems to be a universal bug though.

You're probably having the infamous "sloppy locks" issue. I'm marking this as a duplicate of bug #86103.
