Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnubg

I am using ubuntu 7.10.

Gnubg imediatelly crashes when I open the menu options and select appearance. Here is the message on the terminal:

(No game) The program 'gnubg' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'GLXBadContext'.
  (Details: serial 8738 error_code 177 request_code 159 minor_code 5)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

This problem was fixed in the 0.90-1 release, at least according to the reporter of the equivalent Debian bug.
